LOUSEY. THE CHARACTERS SEEM TO LACK THE INTELLIGENCE TO COMMUICATE WITHOUT THE FREQUENT USE OF THE F-BOMB. NOT MUCH REALISM.

I am usually not a fan of the spy genre, but I thought I would try this series because Richard Jenkins is one of my favorite actors. It held my attention, but I found the ending episodes to be disappointing. Mild recommendation. Kristi & Abby Tabby

I was going to stop watching after episode 3, but wanted to finish off the first disc. After episode 4, I had to watch all of discs 2 and 3 in one sitting! So, don’t give up too early. The show has British actors; Richard Armitage and Rhys Ifans playing American CIA agents based at the Berlin, Germany station. There is someone in Berlin leaking information to the German press about CIA operations. The Berlin station needs to look in-house for the leak, but they also must continue to work on intelligence issues contending with Arab terrorism, Romanian sex traffic, agents interacting with the Israeli Mossad intelligence agents as well as German intelligence agents and folks visiting from Langely (U.S. CIA headquarters.) So, the story gets a bit complex and of course everyone seems to be sleeping with other agents—business or pleasure? The series has been on for three seasons, so get yourself initiated with season one and get prepared to get sucked in! David Bowie's "I'm Afraid of Americans" is appropriately the show's theme song.

Im a huge spy-thriller consumer, and sorry to say - Berlin Station is half-baked series with no surprises, an unmemorable lead - & unfortunately I barely slogged thru 2 episodes.
The writer, director, actors, just cant manage to create any tension/mystery that would compel one to keep watching the next episode!
The only bright light - actor Rhys Ifans - should create a series around him.
Try French Spy series " Le Bureau" - it is Fantastic.....
