Memories can be murder in this thriller from the #1 New York Times bestselling "master of psychological suspense,"* featuring a cameo by fan-favorite Boston detective D. D. Warren. Nicole Frank shouldn't have survived the car accident, much less the crawl up the steep ravine. One thought allows her to defy the odds and flag down help—she must save Vero. If the girl even exists. Arriving at the scene, Sergeant Wyatt Foster joins the desperate hunt for a missing child, only to learn that Nicky suffers from a rare brain injury that causes delusions. According to her husband, there is no child. Never has been. And yet Nicky remains adamant. She must save Vero. For Wyatt and investigator Tessa Leoni, nothing about this case is simple. It turns out Nicky has recently suffered more than one close accident. Is she indeed delusional, as her husband claims, or perhaps she knows more than she thinks? Because clearly someone out there won't rest till Nicky crashes and burns.... *The Associated Press

Don't even bother to take this book out. It was one of the most stupidist book I have every tried to read. I don't know what Lisa was thinking but she must have been on drugs when she wrote this!

I have yet to read a Lisa Gardner book I didn't like. She seems to be branching out a bit in her more recent books (or, at least, the ones I've read more recently). The mystery here was far more than just "figure out who the villain is" and/or "figure out where the villain is". While I worked out part of the first twist before getting to it, there were aspects I didn't predict - and I was definitely surprised by some of the later twists. I knew there had to be something. Because that's what Gardner does best. But she manages to surprise me in ways that are organic every time.

Very different! A little convoluted. Read the whole book just to find out if all the questions got answered, although skimmed the last chapter. Not the best story I've read.

My first book by this author. Good book. The storyline was not predictable at all. I will definitely read more of her work.

Disappointing . Not up to Gardner's usual standards.

Could literally not put this book down. Devoured it in a day and a half, including going to work!
Really kept me reading and loved the whole story line. Highly recommended, no wonder there are so many waiting to read it. A must must read by this author.
