"It's a fantastical story of aliens, spirits, & children told by one breathtakingly gifted artist, and it's utterly remarkable."

This is the 6th music album produced by the French band, M83, in 2011. Apart from becoming M83’s highest-charting album till now, it featured on the Billboard List, it was nominated for “Best Alternative Music Album” at the 2013 Grammy Awards, and it was recognized in “The 100 Best Albums of the Decade” in 2014. The album spans well over an hour, and in spite of having lyrics in some songs, it uses synthesizers and different instruments to overshadow the singing. While such a strategy does not always work, it does wonders in this case. The album was clearly well received by listeners, and some of the tracks were featured in the film, “Unbroken”. I enjoyed all the songs as they either gave me a hopeful and inspirational vibe, or they were extremely soothing. In addition, the album features one of my favourite songs: “Midnight City”. All in all, I would rate it as 5 stars. @Riveting_Reviews of the Hamilton Public Library Teen Review Board

I was amazed at how much I loved this. And yes, I was an 80s teenager. Be forewarned.

Listening to this, it could be 1982 (the good parts)...
