An interesting answer to the universal question, "What would you change about Book/Movie/Show X, if you had that power?" Baratz-Logsted spins a gentle, frothy tale about a modern-day high school student who finds herself living as the fifth March daughter. This is an interesting vacation read, although I found myself wanting the author to push the book to the next level --- going beyond the usual tired stereotypes of high school students and delving further into the concept of stories belonging to their readers, to name my two main objections. Alas, she didn't, so this book stays off my "good literature" shelf, though it does have a place on the "cute stories" shelf.
