A really delightful book, a pleasure to read, with some hilarious moments—be ready for many chuckles, so be sure you are alone when you read it! Incredibly, there is no sex, and no foul language; modern writers should look for some inspiration in books like this! I’m looking forward to the next book in this series of three: “Miss Buncle Married” and “The Two Mrs. Abbotts.” (Here you can find a list of all Stevenson’s books: http://destevenson.org/) Incidentally, Dorothy Emily Stevenson was the cousin of famous writer Robert Louis Stevenson.
