The first season of House of Lies introduces Marty Kaan and his group of associates as money grubbing, no holds barred management consultants. The group, called a pod, is sent out weekly to give advice and more importantly swindle whatever money they can from their clients. Besides their business trips the private lives of the team are laid bare, literally and figuratively. Marty, his son and his father live in a posh condo overlooking LA. Marty also has a sociopathic ex-wife with whom he has a love/hate relationship. There are many vulgar corporate and personal situations portrayed over the first season consisting of twelve episodes. Most likely people will either love or hate this series.
