Celebrate Juneteenth, from Multcolib
Created by multcolib | 15 items
Juneteenth celebrates the end of slavery in the United States. It is also known as Emancipation Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, and Black Independence Day. Although the Emancipation Proclamation was signed into law in 1863, it was not until June 19, 1865, that enslaved people in Galveston, TX were told that they were free.
