Everytime I think of this movie I am brought back to the severely awkward moment when she is in bed with this wolf man, and he tenderly reaches out with his wolf hand...THAT IS LIKE TWICE THE SIZE OF HER FACE and then his wolf face comes on screen and it hits you: Bestiality.

This is a creepy book. It gave my 5 year old nightmares even though he is usually one who enjoys stereotypical "scary" things. This book however is disturbing on another level.

I remember liking this book as a child, and reading it aloud to my 5 year old brought back fond memories. I found the overall pacing and drama severely wanting this second time around. The story drags so much during Nicodemus' tale we put this novel down and forgot about it for about a week. My son is already sitting and listening, we are supposed to read now about a mouse sitting and listening to a rat? For several chapters? Oof.

Whenever I picked up this book, I felt as if I were spending time in the company of dear friends. Easy read, wildly entertaining, heartfelt and made me laugh out loud.

I feel as if this novel should come with a disclaimer. It would go something like this: "Warning, the book you are about to read requires a surplus of long-suffering from its reader." The interruptions are jarring, but the novel is so brilliant I could not rate it anything under 4.5 stars. You have been warned ;)

One of those stories that stay with you. I felt the ending to be underwhelming, there was so much build up to the climax and I felt nearly abandoned by how quickly it ended afterwards. These characters and their stories will stay with you long after the last page is read.
